Irish Setter dog breed facts
The Irish Setter dog breed is a cousin to the Irish Red and White Setter breed and shares many of the same characteristics. This breed was originally bred as gundogs in Ireland, something they are still used to this day. It is a strong breed with loving characteristics. They have a unique appearance, emphasized by the rich mahogany coat. They love to track birds, something their owners would notice pretty quickly. This breed has dogs that are certainly friendly with a little bit of mischievous in the mix. They are also of the inquisitive sort and would always be interested in something new.
