Italian Greyhound dog breed facts
Native to Italy, the Italian Greyhound dog breed was bred to be a companion dog, especially for noblewomen in the European middle ages. However, that does not mean one should be fooled by this and consider this breed to be only lapdogs; that is certainly not the case. The dogs of this breed are actually excellent hunters and easily hunt small games without any issues. Their speed, endurance, and determination easily make them stand out against other breeds. Not to mention their beautiful appearance, which certainly explains why this breed was so popular among nobles.
